School Counseling

Greetings from your School Counselors

Welcome, Scarborough Model Middle School Knights and parents!

As the school counselors of SMMS, the heart of what we do is provide services to our students regarding their holistic development. During the year, students will engage in lessons covering various topics such as bullying, self-esteem, drug education, study skills, peer relationships, career exploration, etc. In addition to classroom guidance lessons, students may participate in small groups and individual counseling.

As school counselors, our goal is to help create a climate and culture that fosters acceptance, respect and accountability for all students. Many collaborative relationships will be created with community agencies such as Penelope House, Crittenton Youth Services, USA Talent Search, Big Brothers Big Sisters, 100 Black Men of Greater Mobile and Lifelines Counseling Services.

We want to be a resources to parents, as well. Feel free to contact us via phone or email if we can provide assistance to you.

Best wishes for a great 2022-2023 school year!
